About the New Zealand University Excellence Awards (NZUEA)

As part of their commitment to the Generation Study Abroad initiative, the New Zealand Universities offer US$500 Excellence Awards to help students fund their study programme.

The Generation Study Abroad Universities Excellence Award recipients may be selected to become Kiwi Ambassadors and help Education New Zealand take the New Zealand study experience to the world. As a Kiwi Ambassador students will be asked to share their study experience through blogs, pictures, videos and snaps on our social media channels during their semester in New Zealand. Education New Zealand looks forward to working with the Kiwi Ambassadors to share a truly memorable #StudyinNZ experience.

Description:

Eligibility:

All applicants must:

Be a US Citizen or hold US Resident status
Be at least 18 years at the time of application
Be currently enrolled in at least sophomore year at a tertiary institution in the United States of America
Be enrolled at a New Zealand university or ITP through a Study Abroad programme
Hold a minimum equivalent GPA of 3.0 in tertiary studies to date (4.0 scale)

To complete this application, you will need to upload the following documents:

Resume/Curriculum Vitae
Copy of the photo ID page of your passport
Copy of your US Resident Visa (for non-US citizens only)

You will also need to provide the names and emails of two referees to request references as follows:

Professor (or Assistant Professor) at your US home institution
Study Abroad Advisor at your US home institution
